Why Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Differs from other martial arts. The emphasis is on learning how to defend oneself in real-life situations by using leverage, balance, and pressure to control an opponent. Helps to build self-confidence and allow oneself to feel in control over their body, and over unwanted situations. Continuous training develops character and provides incalculable lifetime benefits. Instructor Bruce Tafoya Tafoya is a 2nd degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Cleber Luciano Costa & was a member of the Gracie Humaitá Competition Team in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.
