Cottontails is a class designed for children who are ready for more of a challenge than a Thumpers class, but who are not quite ready to be on the field without their parents or caregiver, as in our Hoppers classes. The Cottontail curriculum is designed to develop balance, coordination, ball skills and, most importantly confidence. Cottontails classes also offer the transitional opportunity to phase you as the parent off the field in a way which helps your child assert their independence in a manner conducive to their development. As children progress through the season and show readiness to play and follow directions, parents will be encouraged to take a less active roll in the class, helping prepare them to transition into Hoppers classes. The ratio for Cottontails is 12:1 with parents on the field.
